DIMENSIONS OF WELLNESS

Your Wellness Journey

Case Management

Our case managers take a comprehensive yet individualized approach with each resident to develop short and long term goals and to create an overall plan to achieve them. We connect residents to local community resources to assist with any barriers or obstacles to their goals.

Setting Goals

Goals are set in each of the following eight evidence based dimensions of wellness listed below. We provide structured assistance and encourage women to set short and long term goals to overcome obstacles in each of the eight dimensions to improve overall wellness.

Emotional
Managing stress, coping with challenges, and expressing emotions healthily.
We support emotional health through monthly trauma groups led by a community provider, one-on-one counseling with a partner agency, and bi-monthly psychoeducational groups offered by dedicated volunteers.
Physical
Maintaining a healthy body through exercise, nutrition, and sleep.
Participants maintain healthy bodies through YMCA memberships with twice-weekly visits for exercise classes, along with workshops on nutrition and healthy lifestyle habits.
Social & Relational
Building strong relationships, feeling connected to others, and contributing to the community.
We encourage connection through one-on-one mentoring, social gatherings, community events and weekly Celebrate Recovery meetings, where participants gather in community to share struggles and find support.
Educational/Intellectual
Engaging in lifelong learning, expanding knowledge, and critical thinking.
Growth is fostered through practical life-skills workshops offered in-house and with community partners, helping participants build knowledge and confidence for daily living.
Financial
Managing finances responsibly, saving for the future, and avoiding or reducing debt.
Each participant is paired with a trusted financial advisor twice a month and also has access to practical financial workshops led by experienced volunteers.
Spiritual
Discovering meaning and purpose through Christian discipleship and Christian biblical teaching.
We nurture spiritual growth through weekly Bible studies, local church involvement, and “Worthy Workshops” designed to strengthen faith and hope.
Occupational
Finding purpose and satisfaction in one's work, balancing career and personal life.
Through partnerships with local organizations, participants gain access to job opportunities and learn the skills needed not only to secure employment but to thrive in it.
Environmental
Protecting the natural world, reducing waste, and living sustainably.
We invite participants to enjoy God’s creation through simple, life-giving activities like taking walks outdoors and appreciating the beauty of nature.
