Overnight House Supervisor
Position Overview

The Oaks Ministry, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in Oxford, PA, is seeking compassionate and committed House Managers to support and guide women in our transitional program. This role is responsible for overseeing daily residential operations, ensuring a structured, safe, and nurturing environment for program participants. Individuals may have another PT or FT job, depending on the flexibility and hours.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a supportive and spiritually enriching living environment for residents
  • Provide new resident orientation and ensure compliance with ministry policies and procedures
  • Administer occasional drug/alcohol testing and complete incident documentation as needed, if Case Manager is unavailable.
  • Identify and address potential issues or conflicts with sensitivity and professionalism
  • Model Christ-centered leadership and accountability, resolving conflicts in a biblical manner
  • Represent and promote the mission and values of The Oaks Ministry at all times
  • Model strong interpersonal skills by holding others accountable with compassion as well as resolving conflicts biblically by communicating gently, professionally, and effectively.
  • Demonstrate leadership by providing consistent safe boundaries in a loving way, while also maintaining clear personal boundaries.
  • Oversee and monitor participant’s daily household chores to maintain a clean and hospitable living environment, including periodic room inspections.
  • Transport women to grocery store and maintain community pantry.
  • Monitor household maintenance items and elevate any issues or concerns to appropriate parties as needed.
  • Facilitate, and in some cases lead, group activities such as devotions.
  • Support interpersonal relationships within the household.
  • Participate as a key member of the resident’s support team to help with the setting and accomplishing of milestones and goals through each phase of the participant’s program.
  • Transport residents to programs as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Female applicant of Christian faith with no dependent children under the age of 18
  • Minimum one (1) year of continuous sobriety
  • Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in basic computer programs (MS Office, Google Workspace, Email, Internet)
  • A compassionate heart for serving women from diverse backgrounds
  • Has strong faith in Jesus Christ and maintains a support network; involved or willing to be involved in local church.
  • Previous experience in transitional housing, addiction recovery, mental health, or homelessness services is a plus

Note: Individuals may have part time or full-time employment, in addition to this position, depending on which house they are assigned. Details given upon interview.

Compensation & Commitment
  • Free room and board, including a private bedroom, utilities, parking, and food
  • Monthly Stipend
  • Two (2) weeks of vacation with advance notice
  • Occasional weekends off with prior approval and adequate coverage
  • Minimum commitment of 12 months
