Having been actively involved in church for over a decade, in 1993, Robin had an experience with God that radically changed her life. Afterwards, she felt stirred to gather women on a weekly basis to minister to those without a deep Christian community. As her children grew older, she began working part-time at Pocopson Home as a CNA. There, she continued in many different roles over the years while also getting an advanced certification in Chaplaincy from Tripp Bible Institute. In 2015, she took on a full time role as the Palliative/End of Life Care Chaplain at Pocopson Home. Simultaneously, the Lord was leading her further in her purpose to support and encourage women walking through difficult seasons. It was then that the seeds for the Oaks Ministry were planted and the ministry was born. Robin eventually retired in 2019 to dedicate herself full time to the Oaks Ministry. With the support of many, she has fearlessly led and championed every aspect of the ministry with her eyes fixed on the Lord and His will for its future.
